  • What is an umph? Strange that you are not working with metric measurements. I suspect that you are using metric but afraid that the US public will reject metric so you use the obsolete miles per hour. Sad. It looks so strange to see something so scientific look so far behind.

Please do make the corrections and thank you for the explanation I very much enjoyed the presentation. :)

This Hyperloop technology will completely replace any need for all long haul other than super size loads in short order. Just my opinion.

  • Bla bla bla. Just get it done already and we ll be the judge of it. Stop the pre production marketing just to convince us and get funding, we get what it is but we can't know whether it's good until we have experienced it.

  • The difference between hyperloop and an airplane is it would be much harder to find an individual who maliciously puts a hole in the plane, whereas the tube looks quite easy to compromise. Particularly since the mockup shown here is above ground and left undefended.

  • MONORAIL!!! And just a overprized tunnel on top of that .

  • One evening Elon skinned up a fat number and sat down with some of his sycophantic 'bros'...as he drew deeply on the joint he closed his eyes and declared....'you know we could have a train that moves in a vacuum in an underground tunnel and travels at speeds of up to 400 mph'....his sycophantic 'bros' all nodded furiously and said Yea Elon...Yea Man. (that's how the Hyperloop came to be...)

  • It won't work, should just put the money going into hyper loop into highspeed rail which while not as good as the THEORIZED hyper loop is still quite good and is only a little slower than air travel and more importantly works already. Japan and Europe have used them to massive effect, its time America catches up before we start trying to create theoretical improvements.

  • If we applied the same "risk adverse" approach, suggested by some, to for example, helicopters - they wouldn't exist - neither would space travel - or travel by horse for that matter- all inherently and relatively high risk.
